CAT S60 The first smartphone powered by thermal camera

CAT officially announced the CAT S60 , a smartphone that follows the same line of smartphones resistant to extreme conditions. Generally, smartphones CAT sacrifice power for resistance, but the CAT S60 could be one of the most innovative this year, thanks to a built-in thermal camera.
The camera senses heat, and can see in total darkness or in other situations of reduced visibility, and can serve both for fun and to save lives in some instances, even simple tasks such as leaks in installations, giving values to each detection.



The CAT S60 is made of reinforced steel and withstands impacts up to 1.8 meters high and can be submerged up to 5 meters deep for an hour.


As for specifications, has a 4.7-inch HD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4, octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 13MP main camera with dual LED flash and operation underwater, front camera 5 MP, 4G LTE connectivity, 3800 mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And CAT S60 powered with a thermal camera that can capture image in the dark by detecting the radiated heat.
